Switzerland has become a home to some of the world's most famous people over the years, with some of the greatest names in sport, films and music having moved to the country at certain times of their lives.
Here's our list of some of the most famous non-Swiss residents of Switzerland...
|Charlie Chaplin||Actor||The silent-screen legend moved to Switzerland in 1953, moving his family into a 37 acre plot overlooking Lake Geneva in Corsier-sur-Vevey in the canton of Vaud. Charlie Chaplin died in the town in 1977 and is buried in the communal cemetery at Corsier-sur-Vevey.|
|James Mason||Actor||The British actor settled in Switzerland in 1963 and remained there until his death in 1984. Mason became friends with Charlie Chaplin during his time in Switzerland, with the fellow actor living nearby in Corsier-sur-Vevey, and Mason's ashes were even buried near to Chaplin's tomb in the town's cemetery.|
